This year marked The Esslie Group's 2nd Annual Women's Recognition Event. When this idea came about, it was to recognize the fact that women have such an impact on day-to-day life, let alone the achievements that they are accomplishing throughout our society. We wanted to be able to thank and educate at the same time, as statistically it is proven that less than 70% of women are saving for retirement, compared to 81% of men. (Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies).
The event was held at the Holiday Inn and Express in Latham in their Grand Ballroom, and our team collaborated with The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign to raise close to $16,000 dollars with silent auction, donations from Stewart's and The Nigro Group and The Esslie Group as well. To top it off, three amazing women were recognized that evenig as well:
1) Lori Marcella- Marcella's Appliances (Community Award Recipient)
2) Andrea Crisafulli- Crisafulli Bros. (Regional Award Recipient)
3) Marcia White- President of The College of St. Rose (Breakthrough Award Recipient)
All three of these entrepreneurs showed grace, humility and strength while accepting their respective awards, and offered great advice to the 145+ in attendance that evening. Please watch the video and enjoy!
